Kris De Decker, Creator and author of “Low-tech Magazine”, a blog that is published in English, Dutch and Spanish. Low-tech Magazine refuses to assume that every problem has a high-tech solution,since 2007. Creator and author of “No Tech Magazine”. Short posts related to the same topics, since 2009. Writer for the DEMAND Centre at Lancaster University (UK), which researches energy demand as an outcome of social practices, since 2016. Co-creator of the Human Power Plant, an artistic project that investigates the possibilities of human energy production in a modern society, in cooperation with Melle Smets, since 2017. Co-creator of the Solar Powered Website, a project in cooperation with Marie Otsuka and Roel Roscam Abbing.

Low-tech Magazine questions the belief in technological progress, and highlights the potential of past knowledge and technologies for designing a sustainable society.
