Leonhard Müllner

Leonhard Müllner, ​geboren 1987 in Graz, lebt und arbeitet in Wien als Bildender Künstler und Medienforscher. Er studierte Bildende Kunst und Medienkunst in Linz (AT), Leipzig (DE) und Wien (AT). Er ist Teil der Künstlergruppe “Total Refusal”. 

Derzeit promoviert er im Institut für Kunst und Kulturwissenschaften bei Prof. Helmut Lethen. 2018 gewann er zusammen mit Robin Klengel sieben internationale und nationale Film- und Kunstpreise und erhielt vier “Honorary Mentions of the Jury”, unter anderem den Vimeo Staff Pick Award 2018​, den Preis für den “Besten Österreichischen Film” (VIS Vienna Shorts), den Publikumspreis beim Short Waves Film Festival in Poznan (PL) und den Explorer Award beim AMaze Festival Berlin.

Leonhard Müllner, born 1987 in Graz, lives and works in Vienna as a visual artist and media researcher. He studied fine arts and media arts in Linz (AT), Leipzig (DE) and Vienna (AT). He is currently doing his PhD at the Institute for Art and Cultural Studies with Prof. Helmut Lethen. In 2018/18, together with Robin Klengel, he won seven international and national film and art awards and received four “Honorary Mentions of the Jury”, including the Vimeo Staff Pick Award 2018, the award for the “Best Austrian Film” (VIS Vienna Shorts), the Audience Award at the Short Waves Film Festival in Poznan (PL) and the Explorer Award at the AMaze Festival Berlin.
